General Information
Santa Barbara is a working farm registered in Mira (Venice), located between the Riviera of the Brenta River and the Venetian lagoon, 16 km from Venice.
The activity of the farm, limited to crops with low environmental impact, is carried out on two sites. The first one, at Mira, is the Santa Barbara domain proper.
Its 40 hectares are used for wheat, sugar beet, corn, soybean, and sunflower. In addition, 700 trees have been planted to produce high-quality timber. It is at Mira that we practice agro tourism (vacation on the farm).
The second site is at Pietramontecorvino near Foggia in the Puglia region of Italy. The property consists of 80 hectares of timber and 20

Santa Barbara is a large brick house from the late nineteenth century, typical of the architecture of the Venetian countryside. It was conceived as a farm with stables. After a thorough renovation and transformation campaign, it now comprises four apartments, one of which we occupy. It is surrounded by a large fenced garden with trees providing abundant shade, a large grill, and several tables for outdoors eating. We recently built a magnificent swimming pool (14m x 7m), which can be used from May 1 to September 30, offering ideal relaxation after an exciting daytrip to Venice!
As we have children ourselves, yours are naturally welcome and they will find many games to play outdoors.
The house is surrounded by 40 hectares of agricultural land, without smog or traffic, which you unfortunately find in every city nowadays.
Santa Barbara is 16 km away from Venice, 25 km from Padua and 35 km from Chioggia and its beaches, right in the heart of the famous “Brenta Riviera”.
For those of you who would like to taste the delicious Venetian cuisine, there is plenty of fantastic restaurants around, and beautiful food markets almost every day in the neighbourhood.
We have the possibility to accommodate you in three different apartments:
S.Barbara 1: for 4 persons;
S.Barbara 2: for 4+2 persons;
S.Barbara 3: for 2+2 persons.
Nice and well educated dogs are welcome in apartments number 1 and 3. We can provide with dry food and bowl. Please let us know should you come with your dog.
Possibility, on request, to rent a travel bed for small children.
All our apartments are non smoking!
We have also renovated the old barns into a beautiful room with large glass windows which open into the yard. There is a big kitchen, a fire place, tables and sofas, as well as a bathroom. You can rent it if you wish to organize a party, or some cultural events.
