Borgo Poggiolo - 'the farm house on the little hill' - is perched on a hilltop overlooking an untouched wooded valley in the gentle umbrian hills, just off the ancient etruscan road from orvieto to perugia.
The 17th century farm buildings have been faithfully restored in the typical local style with many original features, retaining all of its authenticity and rustic charm. divided into apartments sleeping 2,4 or 6 people, each has bags of character, or book the whole place for 20 people and have the place to yourselves!
Borgo Poggiolo has something for everyone, its the the perfect place to come and explore the tranquil umbrian countryside or just relax by the pool with a good book and birdsong for background. dicover the secret.
Nearby Orvieto and Montepulciano are world renowned for their wines, and both are beautiful towns to visit, just as Assisi has been known through the ages for its pilgrimages. slightly further afield, but still do-able in a day, are the wonderful cities of Siena, Florence and Rome.
