this is the Medicean spirit in the air in the amazing rooms and park at the FATTORIA DI STIBBIO. The building, with its regal renaissance structure, was built in the fifteenth century by the Medici and was to be their noble family residence surrounded by only a few houses belonging to the village’s countrymen. Today the village is still intact and the feeling lingers: that of wonderful serenity and easy-living.
More than 450m² where the charm of antique furniture pieces is mixed to perfection with a refined and modern touch, where silence and peace are enriched with all contemporary comforts at disposal of the guests, where time flows slowly amongst the pleasures of art, fine cuisine and nature.
The “FARMHOUSE OF STIBBIO” is a villa which was realized from the clever restoration of an ancient building, constructed at the end of the XV century by the Medici family. The building has a great view and it is located in the very centre of the small and beautiful village of Stibbio.
The “MEDICI FARMHOUSE” gives you the possibility to spend an unforgettable holiday in Tuscany. The villa is about 450 m^2, which the guests can completely use. The farm is full of charm and history and it’s furnished with antiques and at the same time it’s equipped of all the modern comforts: internet wireless, hi-fi, sat TV, air conditioning, heating…
If you look out of the windows and from the terrace you can have a stunning view and you can enjoy the great landscape of the forest and the sweet Tuscan hills, cultivated with olive trees. From the garden of the villa you can easily reach, through a short and panoramic path, the nice Voghera valley and the big private garden of 7000 m^2 with the swimming pool. This area is equipped of toilets, dressing room and, outside, of tables, chairs and deckchairs. Passing through the same path you can also reach the horse training and spend some time riding on horseback. You can also hike or rent a bike. If you don’t like to walk you can easily drive to the swimming pool in just two minutes.
The “FARMHOUSE OF STIBBIO” is located in the centre of Tuscany, just 8 Km far from San Miniato, the small and lovely town, famous for its history, for its old architecture, for the white “tartufo” and for the other typical products of this area (wine, olive oil, vegetables…).
In San Miniato there is also a golf club with 9 holes.
The most beautiful cities of Tuscany like Firenze, Pisa, Lucca, Siena, Vinci, San Gimignano, Certaldo, Volterra are far at most 60 km. The medieval villages, castles, lovely landscapes are handy. The sea ,the wonderful beaches of the Tirreno shoreline and the amusing night life of Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi are caught up in an hour.
