General Information
Caccialupi's 90-hectare-large estate lies in a hilly and mountainous area at an altitude ranging from 500 to 1,300 metres. Half of the area is made up of copses and chestnut, fir and oak woods. The rest of it is made up of pastures for horses and cattle breeding. An excellent olive oil is our typical production.
Accomodations
The flats are two. The first has five rooms (5 beds) and is on the ground floor. The second has 6 rooms (6 beds) and is on the first floor. They have just been renovated and re-fitted in Tuscan rustic style. They have walls and arches faced with stones.
Each flat has a fireplace, bathrooms, satellite TV, central heating, garden chairs and deckchairs, linen, small kitchenette, crockery and cutlery. Furniture, in Tuscan rustic style, is made of chestnut wood with wrought-iron beds.
Caccialupis farm holiday resort lies between the National Park of Casentino Forests and the wildlife sanctuary of Pratomagno, overlooking the Casentino valley. This area is rich in history, art, ancient churches and castles. The artistic and natural beauties of Tuscany are here enriched by the mystic quiet of hermitages and the silence of majestic hundreds-year-old forests. The hermitages of Camaldoli, La Verna and Vallombrosa and Romanesque churches and castles are within a short distance.
Art cities such as Arezzo, Cortona, Firenze and Siena are 25 to 60 kilometres far. Sport and Leisure. Trekking, horse riding, fishing, tennis and golf can be practised in the farm or in partner structures. You can also ride mountain bikes and go mushrooming. Camazzi Lake, about 300 metres far from the farmhouse, is a lovely pond amid the vegetation of La Baciola farm holiday resort. Its fresh waters come from a mountain spring and it is most suitable for bathing. In the area, which is fenced off pastures by wood railings, there is also a swimming pool for children, a shower, small springboards and a gangway. The lakeside, where there are also some tables and benches for picnics and a sunbathing area, is ideal for a day of rest and relaxation and it is a starting point for the exploration of the picturesque Camazzi brook.
