General Information
Our farm is situated in the Casentino, a land rich in history, spirituality and outstanding landscapes with its castles and medieval villages, Romanic churches, monasteries and sanctuaries, forests and pastures.
The property which extends for over 900 hectares at an altitude varying between 450 and 950 mt. above sea level, and is in part located within the boundaries of the National Park, is predominantly orientated towards forestry and wood plantations as well as the conservation of the territory.
The agriturismo Catarsena, located in a panoramic position at 450 mt. above sea level and at only 6 km from the centre of Bibbiena, offers accommodation in a beautiful XVIII° century colonica, recently restored respecting Tuscan tradition.
THE APARTMENTS
- The farm house
We restructured one colonica house of 'the 700 in stone, respecting some original characteristics, and therefore obtaining two great apartments, each of 150 mq, one on the ground floor, the other to the first floor.
- The XVIII century villa
We are now restoring the XVIII century villa, little distant from the colonica house, to the aim to gain from atmospheres of the villa two independent apartments.

Each apartment has living room with fireplace, a fully equiped kitchen, 3 doublebedded rooms and 2 bathrooms.
Casentino is a valley in centre of Tuscany where art and nature are in perfect equilibrium.
The Casentino is the first valley of the Arno, the largest river in Tuscany, which springs from Mount Falterona, crosses the Casentino valley, passing by Stia, Poppi, Bibbiena and shortly before reaching Arezzo it turns its course towards Florence, and then on to Pisa and the sea.
