 General Information

Giovanna, Nello and their two children Andrea e Alessandro moved to Tuscany from Lombardy in pursuit of their love for nature and a strong desire to live in the countryside. For Nello, this move also represents a move back to his origins, close to Siena. This desire also drove the family to dedicate over eight years of effort to restore this ancient Tuscan borough back to its original splendor. The heart and soul of the place is Giovanna; aside from carrying out the duties of general management, Giovanna is also an avid and talented artist with a degree from the Institute of Art (her skills range from porcelain painting to trompe l'oeil and from decoupage to silk painting).

Giovanna is currently developing a series of courses to offer guests on painting and decoupage - the courses will likely be covering both theory and practice aspects of these art forms. Nello uses his background as private entrepreneur and independant consultant to take care of general maintenance and guest entertainment, in addition to the very important task of preparing pizza! The two young boys, Andrea and Alessandro, help out in the restaurant and around the pool. This brings us to our two co-workers: Mariarosa is our magnificent cook; Mariarosa is directly responsible for all kitchen-related activities - fully prepared to satisfy almost any culinary desire... she has a particular fondness for preparing deserts.

Mariarosa's menu always contains a number of typical Tuscan dishes, as well as a few dishes from other regions of Italy. In a short while, Laura will also offer cooking courses. Elena is Mariarosa's young helper who also takes care of house cleaning.

Two-floor duplex located on the front side of the house, with its own separate entrance. Spacious outdoors porch. Bathroom with shower. Fireplace equipped with heat-conveying ducts into living room and bedroom. Satellite TV. Spacious kitchen with ample work space, fridge and freezer. Hand-painted wall tiles. Bed space for 4: one king size bed and a couch with a pull-out double bed.

Le Due Querce

Two-floor duplex located on the backside of the house with a panoramic view of the valley. An exterior staircase to the first floor provides private access to the appartment. Bathroom with shower located at first floor. Second floor: living / dining room area, kitchen decorated with hand-painted tiles, equipped with workspace, fridge and freezer. Satellite TV. Master bedroom, decorated with antique furniture. Bed space for four: one king size bed, one pull-out couch including a double bed which can be separated into two single beds. The entire appartment has been restored to reflect the original style of antique Tuscan houses, complete with wooden beams and clay floor tiling.

Il Bosco

Ground floor duplex located on the backside of the house with a private porch. Private entrance. Bathroom with shower, fully equipped kitchen including workspace, fridge and freezer - entirely decorated with hand-painted tiles, fireplace and satellite TV. Bed space for three: brass frame king size bed and a pull-out couch (a wooden wall separates the master bedroom area from the pull-out couch). The entire appartment has been restored to reflect the original style of antique Tuscan houses, complete with wooden beams and clay floor tiling.

First floor one room apartment with an intermediate floor located on the front side of the house that looks out on a courtyard. Access via exterior staircase. Satellite TV and independent heating. Bed space for 4: brass frame king size bed on the entrance floor and two single beds on the intermediate floor. Bathroom with shower. Two antique doors of the 18th century were recuperated during restoration. The entire apartment has been restored to reflect the original style of antique Tuscan houses, complete with wooden beams and clay floor tiling.

"Il camino"

One room apartment located on the front side of the house and shares the entrance with “Ginestra”. Bathroom with shower, fireplace, independent heating, antique furniture and satellite TV. Bed space for two: one brass frame king size bed. Two antique doors and a built in cupboard have been recuperated during restoration. The entire apartment has been restored to reflect the original style of antique Tuscan houses, complete with wooden beams and clay floor tiling. Communicating with the room “LE BALZE”

"Le Balze"

First floor one room apartment located on the front side of the house with a panoramic view of the valley. Common access with and to other rooms. Access via exterior staircase. "La Mimosa"

"Il Padiglione"

"La Loggia "

First floor one-room appartment located on the back-side of the house with a panoramic view of the valley. Private access via an exterior staircase. Bathroom with shower. Fireplace and satellite TV. Bed space for two: one king size bed. The entire appartment has been restored to reflect the original style of antique Tuscan houses, complete with wooden beams and clay floor tiling.

"Il Muretto"

It is situated in a building at the front of the farm house
It is an indipendent bed -sit with an intermediate floor room At the ground floor there are two beds and a bathroom with shower and in the intermediate floor room there is another single bed. Sat TV and indipendent heating.

"Il Capanno"

It is situated in a building at the front of the farm house
It is a two roomed flat with private entrance. At the ground floor there is a double bedded room and a bathroom with shower.
At the first floor , reached by an inside stair, there is a mansard with a little twin room. Sat TV and indipendent heating. Renovated respecting the original tuscan feature, with wooden beams and handmade terracotta tiles

Our Restaurant

Spacious restructured restaurant area rustically decorated with stone walls, wooden beams and clay floor tiling, as well as antique furniture and a 18th century stone fireplace dedicated to "Madonna del Conforto" of Arezzo. The restaurant also includes a fully equipped bar and a wooden oven for making pizza.

The Pool

Overlooking a panoramic view of Val Cerfone. Dimensions: 16m x 8m (depth range: 1.40m to 2.80). Large stairway leading into the pool. Two sides are level to the surface of the water. Highly sophisticated filtering system. Water purity maintained through marine salts, instead of chlorine. Guests are offered deck chairs and parasols.
