General Information
Villanova offers a warm welcome to the guests in its apartments and rooms; the apartments are located in the XVII century villa and in the rectory (adjacent to the Family chapel), while the rooms have been built in the main villa and in a XIX century stone building. The refurbishment and the interiors have been carefully made in order to maintain the historical characteristics of the place; the furniture, the family paintings and ancient prints give the guests the sensation of a journey in the past, like the noble ancient travellers.
Villanova has 8 rooms, doubles, triples and suites,all fitted with en suite bathrooms, satellite TV, minibar and telephone(some with kitchenette).The apartments, all kitchen fitted, can take up to four guests and are suitable for those that wish to spend a more indipendent holiday (all with TV sat, telephone and washing machine). A delicious breakfast, served in the garden with home made cakes and jams, is available for all Villanova's guests.
Every garden has tables, chairs and sun umbrellas to allow all guests to enjoy the "open air" life and the wonderfull Levanto's valley view.
Villanova maintains the agricultural traditions of the estate in spite of the asperities of the ligurian territory. Olive yards and vineyards are skillfully cultivated thanks to the experience of the "old" farmers and the enthusiasm of the youngest descendent of the noble family, the Baron Giancarlo Massola.
Most part of the job is still done manually, because rarely the machines are able to climb the hills; dangerous chemicals are strictly forbidden on our farm, thus you will be able to try the taste of 100% natural products.
Olive oil and wine are the farm's most important products, but we also produce honey, vegetables and fruits (used to prepare our delicious jams and preserves).
Apart from offering comfortable and elegantly furnished rooms and apartments; Villanova offers full contact with nature due to its perfect setting in the open countryside. All of the accommodation has its own private gardens with tables and chairs where one can prepare and enjoy dinner outside or just relax after a day on the beach or after visiting the local sights.
The scenery is quite picturesque and even if one can’t see the sea, one can enjoy the view of Levanto’s valley and its small surrounding villages with their multicoloured walls and their churches which are illuminated at night.
Villanova is obviously a paradise for children who find its open spaces the ideal place for fun and adventure!
