On this site you will find information on Agritourisms in Italy where you can search and contact property owners and managers directly and make your arrangements for your accommodation.
Over the past 20 years a new type of tourism has grown strongly throughout Italy, Agritourism or Agriturismo as it is know in Italy. This type of tourism is orientated around having a rural experience which you share with the family who owns the farm or Agritourism on which you are staying. Generally, these properties are vineyards or orchards and you are able to enjoy the fruits of the farm and in many cases your meals are prepared in traditional settings and dishes by the family itself.
Agritourism is an excellent option to the traditional types of accommodation and gives you the opportunity to stay in working farmhouses, in which you can rent an apartment and often buy the farm produce - or have it cooked for you!. These are known as agriturismi (country tourism - or perhaps agrarian tourism? - basically a farm stay holiday) and are very popular. They also often now have swimming pools and are great for families.
On this site, we showcase a number of Agritourisms around Italy which you can stay in and via this site you can make direct contact with the owners and make your accommodation booking.

Museums of the Quartiere di san Giovanni, Florence
MUSEUM OF TOPOGRAPHICAL HISTORY OF FLORENCE AND MUSEUM OF PREHISTORY
The Museo e Istituto Fiorentino di Preistoria (Florentine Institute of Prehistory) and the Museo Storico Topografico "Firenze com'era" (Museum of Topographical History of Florence) are situated in the former convent of the Oblate Nuns, whose buildings were once part of the Arcispedale di Santa Maria Nuova, the city's oldest (and still functioning) hospital that was founded by Folco Portinari in 1286.
GALLERY OF THE ACCADEMIA
This is one of the best known museums in Florence, because it houses famous sculptures by Michelangelo, including the "David". There are also many paintings, collected by the Grand Duke Peter Leopold to help the young artists enrolled in the Accademia d'Arte, which is still next door to the gallery.
CONVENTO DI SAN MARCO
Michelozzo rebuilt and expanded this convent for Cosimo the Elder, and it still contains the splendid frescoes that Beato Angelico painted to decorate the monks' cell ... Read More...
